1. General Agreement

By booking or purchasing any service from GetUThere Driving School, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Refund & Cancellation Policy, and all applicable Queensland road rules and licensing requirements.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To participate in lessons, students must:

Hold a valid Queensland learner licence or appropriate licence class
Carry their licence during every lesson
Be medically fit to drive
Follow all lawful instructions from their instructor

Failure to meet these requirements may result in lesson cancellation without refund.

3. Lesson Conduct & Safety

Students must:

Arrive on time and ready to drive
Wear appropriate footwear
Not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Behave respectfully toward instructors and other road users

Instructors may terminate a lesson immediately if safety is compromised. No refund or credit will be issued in these cases.

4. Service Area

Students are responsible for checking whether their suburb is within our service area before booking. Bookings made outside our service area may be cancelled or incur additional travel fees.

5. Transmission Type

Purchasing lessons for the incorrect transmission type (manual vs automatic) is considered a change‑of‑mind decision. Refunds are not provided for this reason.

6. Payments & Surcharges

All payments must be made in full at the time of booking.
Payment processing surcharges apply to all online transactions.
If a refund is approved under our policy, the original surcharge/processing fee is not refundable.
Administration fees apply to all approved refunds.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No‑Shows

Students must provide 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a lesson.

Less than 24 hours’ notice = lesson forfeited
No‑shows = lesson forfeited
No refunds or credits apply

This protects instructor time and ensures fairness to all students.

8. Lesson Packages

Packages are valid for 12 months from purchase.
Packages are non‑transferable unless approved by management.
Refunds apply only to unused lessons, minus recalculation at the standard rate, admin fees, and surcharge fees.
No refunds for change of mind.

9. Driving Test Car Hire

When booking a test package:

Students must hold a valid test booking with TMR
48 hours’ notice is required for cancellation
TMR fees are non‑refundable
Late cancellations may incur a 50% fee or full forfeiture

10. Instructor Cancellations

If GetUThere must cancel due to illness, vehicle issues, or unforeseen circumstances:

Students may reschedule, or
Request a refund for the affected lesson only

Administration fees do not apply in this scenario, but the payment surcharge may still be non‑recoverable.

11. Liability & Responsibility

GetUThere Driving School is not liable for:

Traffic infringements incurred by the student
Loss or damage to personal property
Delays caused by traffic, weather, or external factors

Students are responsible for complying with Queensland road rules at all times.

12. Privacy & Data Handling

Personal information is collected for booking, training, and communication purposes only. We comply with Australian privacy principles and do not sell or share personal data with third parties except where required by law.

13. Changes to Terms

GetUThere Driving School may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
